Korres Milk Proteins Foaming Cream Cleanser – Review

I’ve been searching for a facial cleanser to replace my previous not-so-natural one, and I came across this one at Ulta, Korres Milk Proteins Foaming Cream Cleanser.  The salesperson at Ulta steered me toward this brand when I told her I was looking for something more natural.  Korres products typically have a whole list of things on their boxes that the product doesn’t include (like mineral oil, silicones, parabens, etc.).  So when I was out shopping, I thought that was pretty encouraging and decided to give this one a try.

My criteria in a cleanser are as follows:

  • Must wash off my makeup, including eye makeup
  • Must not leave my skin dry and tight
  • Must not burn my eyes

This cleanser does a great job in all those departments for me!  It did cost more than I like to spend for a cleanser, $21.  It’s a good size bottle, however, and I know it will last me for a while.

This cleans off every last bit of makeup, doesn’t leave my skin tight, and definitely doesn’t burn my eyes.  I’m pretty sure I get it in my eyes on a daily basis, and it is honestly as gentle as water to them!  On the bottle, it even says ‘Opthalmologically tested.’

This cleanser does contain fragrance… it smells nice, but I would prefer it to be fragrance free.  Additionally, this is not in the Skin Deep or GoodGuide databases, so I don’t know what the health/hazard ratings are based upon the ingredients.  When this bottle is out, I may continue to look for another cleanser that is less expensive and possibly in one of the databases so I know how safe it is.

Overall, I really do like this cleanser and feel like it is a much better option than what I was previously using.  Korres is a Greek company featuring natural and/or organically certified ingredients in their products, you can read more about them at their website!

I was just looking at this cleaner last night on their web site. I too am looking for a more natural cleanser. Right now I have neutrogena naturals in the closet, but haven’t tried it yet.

Hi Michelle! I tried one of the Neutrogena Naturals, and it was really drying to my skin so I returned it. I wish I could remember which one it was because I know they make a couple. I like the Korres because it doesn’t dry my skin out. If you find a good one, let us know!!
