Italian Beef – Recipe


Here is another super easy meal that everyone loves!  And it’s a crock pot recipe – my favorite!

Italian Beef
  • 1 sirloin tip roast (approx. 3 lbs)
  • 1 jar pepperoncini (approx. 1 lb)
  • 1 Tbsp Italian seasoning
  1. Put all ingredients in the crock pot. (I remove the stems from the peppers and then dump all of the peppers and juice into the crock pot.)
  2. Cook on low for 8 hours.
  3. Shred the beef and serve!


Italian Beef Sandwich


When I make this for company, I usually buy cheese and buns so they can make sandwiches.  But for our family, I just serve it plain.  It has so much flavor!  Now, we like spicy food (even the kids!) but you can make it less spicy by simply putting in less pepperoncinis or less of the pepperoncini juice (but if you don’t use the juice, make sure to add water).  I recommend for your first time starting with just half of the jar of pepperoncinis.  If someone wants it spicier, they can add pepperoncinis to their portion.  I use Krinos Imported Pepperoncini because it doesn’t have any food dyes.  And I use  Simply Organic chophouse seasoning for the Italian Seasoning.


Also, a 3 lb roast is usually ready in about 8 hours but when I was working I would cook it for about 11 hours and it was fine.  I just added about a cup of water to make sure it didn’t dry out.


I usually serve this with cooked green beans and some type of potato (mashed, fried, or baked).  Enjoy!
